F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C Family Beach - Balmoral

We finally got to Balmoral Beach.  I think it is by far the closest beach from our house - 25 minutes.  It has been recommended by everyone with children and now we know why.

Great big trees for shade, awesome playground, calm waters, white sand great for making sand castles, a wee island to explore, yummy fish & chips, coffee, ice-creams, lots of families and kids.  It is close enough for us so that we can go there for a picnic/bbq on a weeknight throughout year.
