There are R.S.L. Clubs (Returned and Services League) in just about every city/town in Australia. There are about 1500 in total. The clubs vary in size but most have food, pokies, drink and other entertainment. The other day we visited the Castle Hill RSL after playgroup as it was children's day. There was free face painting and a clown. My friend Fiona belongs to the RSL and brought us in as her guest. It is one of the newer and larger RSLs. There is a huge gymnastics club, gym, restaurant, bars etc. The kids had fun and us Moms enjoyed a nice lunch.
