There were less than 100 people attending and in that one evening I think we raised over $2700. Apparently Trivia Nights are popular here in Australia along with meat raffles!
It was a good night and I thought some of the activities were great and maybe we can do something like it back home for Nootka and Dorothy Lam.
- 5 Rounds of trivia questions - themes were along the lines of culture, politics, sports, etc.
- Pictures of cd covers were on the wall - we had to guess the artist and albums
- Olympic event - design and create an event using the materials provided for at each table (playdough, paper, pipecleaners, pom pom balls, etc.)
- Tag lines in popular Movies - guess the actor and film
- Jingles - name the company
- Name that Tune
- Guess the number of jellybeans in a jar
- Pop the balloon - tie a balloon at ankle and try to pop opponents balloon
- Hit the bottle - throw and aim a dollar and two dollar coin at a wine bottle from 10 ft away
- Silent auction on kid's artwork
Some ideas for next year!
