On Friday, to celebrate the end of the bandaged bear campaign week, the kindies, Year 1s and Year 2s went over to the Oval across the street from Margot's school for their yearly Teddy Bear's Picnic. The kids brought their teddies, ate their lunch at the park and paraded through the park with the teddies. That's about the gist of it. The parents had fun and the kids seemed to enjoy it as well. The purpose of the bandaged bear campaign is to raise money for the community hospital.
Another bit of news is that Fiona finally got a spot at a a non-profit public preschool - Baulkham Hills Preschool. She's attending twice a week on Thursdays and Fridays from 9 - 3. The school is located across Windsor Road from Margot's school so it's convenient for pick up and drop off. Fiona started this week and loved it. The 3 year olds and the 4 year olds are in different rooms but they share the outside space during outdoor time. On Thursday - Fiona's first day - I picked up Fiona at noon and she said why are you so early? Can we stay longer?
On Friday, I took her out to join Margot for the Teddy Bear's picnic and afterwards, she wanted to return to preschool rather than go home with me! That girl has NO concept of separation anxiety!
