I had a FANtastic Mother's Day. I got to sleep in a bit. The girls and Fergus brought me breakfast in bed, along with some lovely presents. Margot got me a nice wind chime from the school store, Fiona made me a lovely box with popuri, and Fergus got me a fluffy scarf.
We drove into the city and did a big 5km walk from Coogee Beach to Maroubra Beach. Margot walked the whole way and Fiona for parts of it. The views were breath-taking and it was really really beautiful! The wind and water shaped rocks and cliffs along the way were spectacular. Maroubra is one of the city's best surfing beaches. As it is south Sydney, it is a bit more run down. Imagine a garage on prime beach front property!? Nevertheless it was a really beautiful beach. We caught the bus back to Coogee for a casual Thai meal and then back home to Northmead. We were all pooped by the end of the day.
It was one of the best Mother's Day ever. Thanks to my wonderful husband and girls!
Who is Larry?
Hedgehog Tree as Margot calls these.
Surfing USA...
Poor Fergus had to drag the stroller up and down through out the walk.
