An Aussie Mom - singlet, thongs and beer in hand! ;-)
It was 30 degrees (unlike the usual wet and cold Halloween we are used to) and we were the only trick or treaters out on the street. We stopped at about 8 houses and the kids got plenty of treats! Nobody came by ours the entire evening!
The families stayed for dinner and the girls had a great play with all the other kiddies.
For the rest of the weekend, Fergus and I had a night out at the city while the girls had a sleep over at Katerina's house. The girls had a fabulous time, they went to Darling Harbour by bus and to a fair on Sunday. Fiona also went to a fairy birthday party! So much fun for them!
Fergus and I had a weekend at the city while the girls were with Kat. We explored a couple of suburbs - Neutral Bay for sushi, Elizabeth Bay to see Jason Benjamin's paintings, Kings Cross for cocktails, Surry Hills for dinner at Bodega {Argentinian tapas), Paddington for brunch, Wooloomooloo for a walk. It was all fun and games! We stayed at the harbour view room in Diamante Hotel. The room was fine, new and clean, comfy bed, good size space but the view was pretty crappy! In looking out the window, you can see half the harbour bridge in the disttance, on the other side you can see scaffolds and a building site! Not exactly a 'room with a view'.
